now re-released by what's your rupture. the lp plays at the 45 rpm speed that all records should. current buzz band band iceage are 18 - 20 years old from copenhagen, making a nervy noise like pere ubu and wire meets antioch arrow and nation of ulysses. 'new brigade' burns like beams from the sun to an earth where no dead pop meat is too tender. with their rock tongue licking the guitar-bass-drum-vocal-mouth encircled by the eardrum-heavy face, and 12 tracks in 25 minutes, iceage mix youthful desperation with the ectoplasm that adult life is made of and become a timeless fever-causing energy discharge of sticky no-wave spindle.
