Moonface - Organ Music Not Vibraphone Like I'd Hoped

Review by Alexander Tudor

If Spencer Krug wants to keep the fans guessing – mission accomplished. If he really wants to lose them, he’s going to have to try a lot harder to stop writing those tunes. »

tireless wolf parade / sunset rubdown man spencer krug's project moonface release a new album, the 5 track 37 minute 'organ music not vibraphone like i'd hoped', via jagjaguwar. he'd originally intended to make something like ep 'dreamland', with just vibraphone, bits of guitar, and spare percussion, but it didn't work out. instead, he ended up recording on a double-manual organ and creating a set of what he calls 'random half-pop' songs.
