The keyboard-wielding trio have taken just enough inspiration from The Velvet Underground’s slumberdelic blueprint (yet it always feels like they’re more into Maurice Sendak than Warhol), the epic pop hooks of the Eurythmics, Broadcast’s grainy night-train steam plumes and mix it with that sweet sadness that swarms around Charlie Brown.»
