East India Youth - Total Strife Forever
The best thing you'll hear in these tempestuous January days, and one that will continue to burn brightly long after the embers of 2014 have burnt out.»

'Total Strife Forever' is the debut album from the much tipped East India Youth - it ranges from ambient passages, through neo-classical episodes and Detroit techno through to effervescent melodic electronic pop songs. It's an ambitious work and heralds the arrival of a singular new talent. Inspirations along the way included the output of Tim Hecker, Brian Eno, the orchestral / electronic combinations explored on Bjork's 'Homogenic' and continued on Sufjan Stevens' 'Age of Adz' and some more classical pieces in the shape of Shostakovich and Arvo Part.
