Bruno Mars, Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Michael Chabon and Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker all collaborated with Mark Ronson on the producer's new album, 'Uptown Special'. Parker takes lead vocals on three songs on 'Uptown Special' and plays on others. Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow, Trombone Shorty, the Dap-Kings and newcomer Keyone Starr also appear on the album. Ronson met Chabon, who won the Pulitzer for his 2001 novel The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, at a book signing. Ronson later e-mailed the author, asking if he would write lyrics for the new album.
