Jamie Woon - Making Time
Maybe with a little more time spent on a few less ideas it could perhaps have been a great album»

Jamie Woon returns after four years with his second album 'Making Time'. The Thoughtful and sophisticated neo-soul songs of 'Making Time' have nothing to do with the brassy revivalist stuff now blasting out of commercial radio; nuances of jazzy funk, cosmic house and R&B making them more suited to small-hours intimacies than losing it on the dancefloor. Co-produded by Lexxx, they're not as digital as 'Mirrorwritting'. with echoes of D'Angelo and mid 1970's Stevie Wonder. 'Dedication' is a standout, suggesting Thundercat's take on Yacht rock.
