Fuzz-favouring psych-synth weirdo Tobacco releases another solo LP apart from his Black Moth Super Rainbow side-project. 'Sweatbox Dynasty', his second full-length release for Ghostly International, comes oozing out of speakers. Following the self-imposed sabbatical, Tobacco was recharged enough to produce what would become 'Sweatbox Dynasty'. As with his earliest experiments, each track was committed to cassette tape before being bounced onto a sampler. The record is filled with the sounds of analog synths, drum machines, gongs, sitars and unidentifiable noise. Tobacco's vocals and "cheery na-na-nas" come drenched in hiss. The heavily distorted release dabbles in psych, funk, and "transcendental meltdowns.
