Superheroes

Alcohol and Fighting

Label: Release Date: 08/09/2004

thommo by Thomas Blatchford October 17th, 2004

Ah, the sound of young Stratford Upon Avon. Having toured with The Open, The Futureheads and Neil's Children, the exciting/excitable Superheroes are musically closest allies with the lattermost seeing as the tracks on newest demo 'Alcohol and Fighting' are all delivered with a blunt 'I Hate Models' ferocity. There's spiky guitar squealing, the minute-long thrash of 'Consequence', darker moments like that of 'Give And Take', not to mention liberal four-letter word usage and their variations thereof. Worth trying if you're outspoken, dishevelled and/or slightly bitter. (In other words, it's pretty good).
