Pop Threat

Amarantal Meltdown

Label: Mook Release Date: 30/09/2000

jmoore by James Moore September 30th, 2000

**This’ll probably be a contender for my

favourite single of the year**

With their beautiful layered vocals and

distinctive twangy guitar sound they breathe a breath of fresh air into the

somewhat stale indie-music scene. I can’t think of any indie bands that even

come close to being as brilliant as Pop Threat. ‘It’s The Police!’

does sound a tad like a louder and more experimental Elastica but it’s

probably the weakest song on the CD. The CD’s also got some great artwork

considering the payment was a doughnut. It’s a shame that it didn’t come out

on Fierce Panda as they would of got the press coverage they deserve.
