Haven

Beautiful Thing

Label: Release Date: 02/07/2001

463
afrankowski by Andy Frankowski July 13th, 2001

Haven are being called Manchester's newest golden boys. They have all the right ingredients to reach greatness. Johnny Marr produced 'Beautiful Thing' and it is just that, beautiful. Gary Briggs' falsetto voice mixed with a sea of guitars hold you like a newborn while he sings "Beautiful things don't die". After listen you can see why they are being hailed as the next big thing. Haven already posess their own sound, but traces of Elbow and even The Smiths can be found in the A-side and two B-sides. The single leaves you satified but yet at the sametime still wanting more.
