The 'Burn

Drunken Fool

Label: Hut Recordings Release Date: 17/03/2003

3503
gdobson by Gareth Dobson March 13th, 2003

Give enough monkeys enough guitars and occasionally they’ll write the next Oasis single. Most of the time though, they’ll probably just write a song that sounds like The Burn.

Its run-of-the-mill dope-addled acoustic hippified bollocks from the Blackburn group who’re essentially Lancashire’s answer to Toploader. Except possibly less enjoyable. Even Jamie Oliver would think twice about draping his fat, corporate disease-ridden tongue across this lot. And yes, we really are in that territory. Nonetheless, you just know The Burn are going to be huge.
