I’m going to be honest – I’m not completely sold on Love Is All. Their party pop debut LP, Nine Times That Same Song, is a fine, if slightly grating listen. It comes over much like you’d expect X-Ray Spex would if they were only just coming of age and someone told them to cut out the naughty bits.

‘Make Out Fall Out Make Up’, the Swedish band’s second single proper, is fast-paced and full of that indie-dance snareplay that seems to pepper every record from Arcade Fire to The Killers these days. It will no doubt go down well in the same scenes that hold up The Long Blondes as fashion gurus, and that seems to be where it is targeted.

It’s a passable attempt at making a dancefloor hit. It isn’t quite as catchy or joyous as it aims to be, but will serve as ample time-filler until the DJ spins another CSS track.
