Rapper Busta Rhymes has been arrested in New York.
The arrest, and subsequent charge, occured on Saturday (August 19). He was performing at the AmsterJam Festival in NYC, and was detained after his set.
The charges include assault and criminal possession of a weapon, according to MTV. Busta is said to have attacked a man who spat on his car back on August 12.
No further details about the incident have been released by the police, with detective Madelyne Galindo saying that they would not yet specify what the offending weapon actually was. Busta - or Trevor to his mum - will appear in court on October 24 after being arraigned on Sunday.
