Call the RSPCA: The Horrors "Raping a dead pig" say The Automatic
TheBoyDeadly by TheBoyDeadly January 16th, 2007

Welsh blandateers The Automatic have hit back at the flak they copped recently from the The Horrors (pictured, obviously).

In the wake of The Horrors' comments accusing The Automatic of "flogging a dead horse", the Cardiff-based band's Robin Hawkins said of their accusers: “They’re raping a dead pig.”

Horse or pig? Rape or flog? Me, I'm unsure who came off worst. Speaking to Gigwise.com, fellow alleged horse-flogger James Frost then went on to attack the band's art-school roots:

“I think that they come from the sort of art-school background and they’re just trying to be as cool as possible.

"We don’t really care to be honest, if you don’t like us don’t bother with us.”

Pow!

Meanwhile, the Southend beat combo have sent out a request for extras to appear in the video for their next single.

The shoot for 'Gloves' will take place at a mystery location in South East London tomorrow (17 Jan) - so you interested? Click here and send your name, mobile number and a recent photograph.

Those chosen from the sea of kohl-eyed and bespoke jpegs will have to be free from 2.30pm to 11pm and will have to arrange their own transport. Which is a shame, as I like to imagine a busload of Horror-alikes winding its way through the streets of Lewisham.
