Say hello to MANFEST: Leeds all-dayer announced
domgourlay by Dom Gourlay February 9th, 2007

Leeds, currently the centre of all things creative, indie and DIY plays host to yet another newly-established, all-day festival next month.

MANFEST is the brainchild of local record labels Jealous and Obscene Baby Auction and is so-named because, according to its creators, "Is symptomatic of a biased indie music scene that almost all the bands we (the curators) interact with are chiefly men".

They also go on to say that, "We chose the bands on this bill primarily because they are ace people, and that they are a joy to watch when playing decent music together." Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the bill. Well so far it reads:

This Aint Vegas
That Fucking Tank (pictured)
Cleckhuddersfax
Pixel Pixel Pixel
Twat Trot La La
Mucky Sailor
It Takes Bridges
Hooray! Say The Roses

The festival takes place on Saturday 10th March at the Brudenell Social Club, Leeds. For more information visit the festival website HERE
