Lynyrd Skynyrd bassist and original member Leon Wilkeson died of natural causes on Friday, at the age of 49.
Original band member Ronnie Van Zant's widow, Judy Van Zant Jenness told the Times-Union, "We're all just finding out about this ourselves. We don't know what to do other than just to be in shock and surprised ourselves."
Leon was taking a break from a summer tour in a hotel in Florida. It is unclear at the moment whether or not the tour which has several dates left, will continue. The future of the band is also in doubt now, with only two founding members left.
