The word 'dictatorship' is one lumbered with negative connotations and as such any living examples of this system of government are immediately decried in the international press. Presumably because they tend to culminate in things like oppression, political violence and, eventually, genocide.
But as a wise man once told me, a benevolent dictatorship could, perhaps, be the most rewarding system of government there is.
