My Bloody Valentine headline Bestival 2008 bill
TheBoyDeadly by TheBoyDeadly February 22nd, 2008

My Bloody Valentine are the first headline act to be announced for this year’s Bestival.

The returning band will play the Isle of Wight event on the Friday night as a UK festival exclusive, as will Aphex Twin who head the Big Top on one of the nights.

Others on the bill tempt, too - George Clinton and Funkadelic/Parliament, The Breeders, Lee Scratch Perry, Foals, Crystal Castles, These New Puritans and Fuck Buttons will be on the Isle, as will The Human League and Let’s Wrestle.

You’ll find the full line-up below, but first the necessaries – the event runs from the 5th ‘til the 7th of September at Robin Hill Country Park. Tickets cost £130 if you’re an adult and you’re going for the weekend, half that if you’re aged from 13 to 15 and free for under 12s. Result, shrimps, though anyone under 18 must be accompanied by someone over 21. Admittance here.

Campervan Tickets cost £50 per vehicle and there are a variety of ferry packages available from Red Funnel.
