Nottingham DiS gets Dirty... Saturday night!
domgourlay by Dom Gourlay March 27th, 2006

This month we have a bill to kill for; the final Nottingham Drowned In Sound show at Cabaret before we move onto pastures new will feature the following:

DIRTY LITTLE FACES - "If a new horizon for Britpop is awaiting just around the corner, then Dirty Little Faces will surely be driving a 56 seater double decker straight through its heart. You have been warned..." (Drowned In Sound)

THE NIGHTJARS - "...come from Manchester but instead of following in the city's tradition of writing stadium anthems for "the lads", are more at home making the kind of brooding, disparaging salvos of distress more freely associated with the likes of a younger Radiohead or a less intense Muse" (Drowned In Sound)

ALEX KID - "Alex Kid make music to scale rooftops for. Ambitious, dangerous, exhilerating and downright incredulous..." (Drowned In Sound)

THE SWARM - "...an absolute hammer blow of hardcore barbarism...measured intelligence waiting beneath all the bombast" (Diskant.net)

Inbetween and after the bands will be DJ slots from Choi (Silhouettes Of Soldiers) and Heather (From The Shards Of Comets!) plus the likes of Dan McAvoy, The Drowned -In-Soundsystem (Dom & Jordan), and Dan Hot Renault Traffic,

We even promise a few drinks promotions on the evening, and then its onto The Social for a right rave-up til 3am after!

Date: Saturday 8th April
Venue: Cabaret, Fletchergate, Nottingham
Doors: 8pm.
Admission: £5 door, £4 with flier, £3 NUS

See you there!
