UK metal always pulls a couple of good uns out the bag. FR8 hail from the decidedly metal northeast. They run around topless there. Even in winter. That is metal. This is metal. As a debut album is surprisingly tight and menacingly brutal throughout. You know this is real heavy metal when every song starts with a double helping of thundering riffs and feedback. Guttural bellows transmit throughout while restrained old skool guitars pick their way through the rumbling tumult AKA The Drums. With a debut as uncompromisingly heavy as this, much more is expected from future releases.
