It's not very good is it? A band, a stage. Some incoherent swearing and yelling from Liam. Note perfect renditions of the Hits, and one abum track from the most recent studio record. It's not rock n roll. It's cabaret. Hyperbolic sleeve notes that proclaim them ("Insert hype here") but fails to deliver. Does exactly what it doens't say on the box. And that title? Familiar To Millions. Since when did being popular automatically with being good? 72,000 Oasis fans can be wrong.
There's no care in this record - a straight from the mixing desk transcript of one gig halfway through a world tour and lots of pictures of Wembley Stadium filled with drunk wankers. Hmm.
Well. You all know the songs there's no point me even mentioning them, save for the fact that some of Oasis' best moments - "Talk Tonight", "Don't Go Away", - and vast portions of the most recent, and best, Oasis studio record have been removed in favour of blunt, straight ahead, balls out pub rock. You've made your choice, and I've made mine. I'm glad I've got a promo copy - I don't think it's worth buying.
