The Diff'rent Strokes

This Isn't it

Label: Release Date: 03/12/2001

jwestfox by James Westfox December 16th, 2001

Ha. Well. What can I say. The Diff'rent Strokes for those souls lucky enough not to know, are a 'hilarious' 'tribute' band to.....wait for it.....The Strokes! You guessed correct?! Have a Sigur Ros album on me!

The Diff'rent Strokes take exisiting Strokes tunes, and re-do them in a muzak stylee, therefore making it 'ironic' and intellectual. Apparently. Oh! And really funny as well. In fact I can hear you laughing now! Careful! You might do yourself an injury! Have a glass of bleach.

This evil little release can only be described as poo. It lacks the camp wonderment of Mike Flowers Pops and his re-working of "Wonderwall". How I long for those days.

Anyway, don't buy this record. It's about as cool as your Dad. About as interesting as a docu soap on a sausage making factory. About as fun as being stuck in a lift with Ainsley Harriot on Helium.

Steer clear.
