Bit of a strange bunch, these *Indentikit *tykes. Darting frequently from savage punk rock to a more tuneful expanse they kinda give the impression of two radically different bands battling it out with each other, rather than making a compromise and melding the two styles together; something not achieved in the most delicately of ways. Far too much hissy thrashiness you see but, that said, if they were to experiment more with building their songs more carefully they could well be a force to be reckoned with.

The first of the 3 tracks on this demo, ‘Ignorance’, demonstrates their interesting qualities well through a style that’s as dependent on urgent, guitar spasms as it is weaving, subtle melodies. _‘Everynight’ _**slows down the pace, building from a magically enticing chord scheme into a firey attack that - while the ‘demo’ production is doing them no favours – would benefit greatly from a deeper resonating distortion to cushion the build-up. The vocal harmonising works surprisingly well and along with the different melodic layering, proves Indentikit certainly aren’t gonna be suffering from a ‘creative block’ any time soon. While this demo shows undoubted potential it'd be interesting to see how they progress from here.
