While hell hath no fury like a disenchanted teenager, we have no better all action rawk band than Kinesis; who, it would seem, are still angry. Giving the country a reason to hold off bulldozers on their home town for the last eighteen months, Bolton's biggest Waterstones customers (mainly the American politics department) present another step in their textbook takeover of the nu-age-post-indie-political-rant-metal sector.
On ‘Forever Reeling’, if you listen hard enough you can actually hear lead hairboy (guitarist) Conor mutter the immortal words ‘I wannabe Matt Bellamy’. They’re a bit muffled, given the fact that his mouth’s round the combined cock of Muse and ...Trail Of Dead but the boy’s doing a sterling job of turning his geetar into an automatic weapon of mass destruction, come the final guts-up instrumental parliamental lobby.
Kinesis take the bone that Miss Black America have to pick with the world and batter them - and every other shit stained little indie band around - to fuck with it. They have ideals big enough to fill the gaps in NYC’s skyline and the abilities, tuneful ambition and furious energy to back it all up. It’d be rude not to let them, but you can always have InMe if you so prefer.
