Why should we bother listening to Hot Hot Heat? They've got a stupid name, the indie press spunk all over them and your annoying indie friend is raving about them. They're also Canadian - is that supposed to be cool or something? Hmmm. I'll just put the single on my record player and check it out, anyway... You never know.

To cut the bullshit, 'No, Not Now' clocks in at just 2-and-a-half minutes and is a riotous pop/punk masterpiece. You know the tune already, it's been soundtracking your local club night for a couple of months already. Should it be taken seriously? Probably not. Should we care? Yes. No-one else is making music quite as easy to dance to as this band are right now. If there are any new tracks half as good as where this came from, album number three should be a cracker. Oh, and the cover's ace too.
