Drowned in Sunday: Papers? Pianos? Lover's Spit?
Drowned in Sunday: Papers? Pianos? Lover's Spit?
sean by Sean Adams August 23rd, 2009

Sunday, bloody Sunday. Don't worry, we're not about to subject you to some U2. Instead, we've concocted a lush Sunday playlist to doze to and turn up whilst reading the hefty Sunday Papers (and if you're reading Sunday Times today, look for my fortnightly column in the Culture bit).

Sunday has various songs written about it and dedicated to it but almost all of them are downbeat dreamy affairs. Strangely Sunday has nowhere near as many songs written about it as Saturday but maybe that's because those who've already written songs about Sunday have pretty much nailed it? Most of this playlist touches on things you might do on a Sunday but it's mostly songs that give me the Sunday feeling.

This playlist was originally compiled earlier this year and about a fifth of it was suggestions from people on Twitter and the DiS boards. This was the playlist which inspired this week (or rather the success of it when I shared it was a catalyst for the lazy/fun idea of compiling a spotify-playlist-a-day), so hopefully it's the best one but comment below which playlist was your favourite.
