So, after sifting through the mediocre to the outright frightening, a winner has been chosen.
Congratulations to Sharon Parkes who has written this article, bagging herself the original diary.
"InMe
23rd January 2003
Wolverhampton Wulfrun
Support: Colour of Fire and Biffy Clyro
Shortly after arriving at the venue I realised that if I had any doubts of how InMe would be received tonight they were soon obliterated by the hoards of screaming girls proclaiming signs such as ’InMe can get InMe’.
After fighting my way through the stampede and securing my place at the front, I settled down to listen to the enjoyable sound of Colour of Fire and Biffy Clyro, who both exceeded my expectations and put on a thoroughly enjoyable performance.
As the lights dimmed and the crowd grew feverish, InMe took to the stage and without a word ripped into ‘Gently Hurting’ followed by ‘Mosaic’. If you didn’t know already or if you have been living on the moon for the last couple of months, InMe had officially arrived.
Watching them work through the rest of the set and perform songs such as ‘Underdose’ and ‘Her Mask’ whilst dodging underwear flying onto the stage, it became increasingly clear that InMe no longer have the stage presence of rabbits in headlights. With the set drawing to a close and the sounds of ‘Lava Twilight’ in my ears I felt a deep sense of satisfaction that I had got my money’s worth and also the knowledge that not only are InMe ready for international stardom but also confident enough to achieve it."
A special mention must however go to Lauren Parish for this wonderful review* of the Southampton InMe gig she attended. Congratulations Lauren, you have won a runner’s up prize of an InMe beanie hat!

“Hewwo! i found out your doing a comp 2 win inme’s tour diary so i thought i’d join in wiv the fun and post an entry. here is my review of an inme gig i went to on the 1st of feb in Southampton…
serafin were the first band 2 come on stage, all 3 band members of serafin were already drunk but entered the stage all carrying bottles of beer. during the 3rd song they played, me and my friends all started shouting “ur rubbish” at the band and “ur gay” at the gay Scottish bassist. when the song ended, the lead singer said “who’s shouting at us?” so we shouted out “we are!”. the lead singer then said “y r u shouting at us” n so we replied “cos ur rubbish!”, the drunken Scottish drummer then rudely interrupted shouting at us, “its cos ur fucking english , u’ve got no fucking taste!”.
by this time the band were really pissed off wiv us, but still they played on but stopped after continuous “u suck” comments hurled at them from us. the drummer then angrily threw his drumstick at us as hard as he could, just missing us and hitting the barrister (this conjures up an interesting image – ed) in front of us…but we still kept on shouting at them. the bassist then threw his beer bottle at me. luckilly it hit my bag but it got beer all over me.
after that biffy clyro came on. at the end of their set the yummy lead singer jumped into the crowd. Mmm …yummy lead singer…drool.
then, inme came on! dave mcpherson had dyed the front bits of his hair grey and he looked like gandolf from lord of the rings. so after there “gently hurting”, “mosaic” and then “energy”, when it went silent, we all started shouting “gandolf” “gandolf” “gandolf” at him.
ah…we hurt poor dave’s feelings.
so, despite having my hoodie stolen, having serafin trying 2 kill us and being squashed all night…i had the best time imaginable and I wish it never ended.”
