Nicky Weller wrote on paulweller.com: "Paul was admitted to hospital suffering from chronic tonsillitis and quinsy (Peritonsillar abscess). He is expected to be in hospital for a few days.
"Paul would like to apologise to his fans, but due to his condition the decision had to be made to cancel the shows. A statement on ticketing and dates will be made shortly."
