DiS hears that MTV America have refused to play British Sea Power's video for 'Please Stand Up' (released in the UK on May 23rd). It is apparently because the song contains the line, "wetter and wetter," and there are fears it might send the nation into a sexual frenzy!
On the other hand, it might have more to do with MTV America not playing that many music vids and BSP ain't exactly P Diddy.
In other BSP related news, Eamon Hamilton's side-project Brakes (with Tom and Alex White from The Electric Soft Parade and Marc Beatty from The Tenderfoot), will release a single 'All Night Disco Party' on June 13th and their debut album 'Give Blood' will follow on July 4th. Brakes will also be heading out on tour with poet-legend hick-hopper Buck 65...
