Virgin launch new alternative to Xfm
chrisnettleton by Chris Nettleton September 6th, 2005
At 00.15 on Monday morning, Steve Harris, DJ on Virgin Radio's new music show, The Edge, launched their new alternative digital radio station, Virgin Xtreme (available on DAB in London, Sky channel 938 and over the web).

A sister station to the main Virgin Radio, it will offer heavy competition to Xfm. Since it will not carry the same content as daytime Virgin Radio (MOR soft rock etc) it should be more of a pure 'alternative' station than its principal competitor. Time will tell.

DiScuss: Has anyone been listening... what do you think?
