The Music For The Weekend
mclarke by Michael Clarke September 9th, 2001
Two of Britains brightest young bands are to co-headline two gigs together, in each other's hometowns on October 20th (Liverpool Picket) and 21st (Leeds Warehouse). The Coral will headline in Liverpool, with The Music playing last in Leeds.

Leeds teenagers The Music will play these two gigs, which promise to be a truly spectacular weekend, following a tour of the south of England and several shows supporting The Charlatans across the UK.

The Coral meanwhile play a one-off date at Manchester Night & Day Cafe on Thursday 20th September.

Despite having only released one single each, they have been regarded as the bright hopes of the British scene, with average ages of 18 between them. These gigs, both in small, intimate venues will be a good chance to see if the hype is due.

Tickets priced £6 go on sale on Tuesday 11th September from www.gigsandtours.com and from from Way Ahead on 0115 912 9000.
