News of the return of Jason Friedman’s the Boggs was heralded by a happy few who remembered the quality of the band the first time around, when Stitches was released in 2003. With a belated follow-up due next month, a new video from the act has been posted online.
’Remember the Orphans’ is the second track to be lifted from longplayer Forts, the single arriving sometime in April after ‘Arm in Arm’’s released on the 25th of February.
The earlier single comes with remixes from Hot Chip and Shy Child, and this track doesn’t drift too far from the templates laid out by those two, even if it there is more guitar in the Boggs’s dance-punk mix than either of ‘Arm in Arm’s remixers can boast, natural perhaps given the involvement of Liars drummer Julian Gross.
