Maccabees and Late of the Pier added to bill for first ever Redfest
TheBoyDeadly by TheBoyDeadly March 28th, 2008

Struggling to find a festival to accommodate your needs this summer? Perhaps Redfest can help, as it launches for its inaugural year with what is, in fairness, a decent line-up.

The Maccabees and Late of the Pier are the latest bands to be announced for the two-day affair, which takes place at Robins Cook Farm (yes, the ‘s’ is in the right place) in Redhill, Surrey on the 4th and 5th of July.

Also appearing will be Lightspeed Champion, Johnny Foreigner and Ebony Bones, as well as a bunch of other acts still to be confirmed.

Current line-up:

The Maccabees
Late of the Pier
Lightspeed Champion
Does it Offend You, Yeah?
Elliot Minor
Operator Please
Fear of Music
Ebony Bones
This City
Johnny Foreigner
Pete and the Pirates
Haunt Wizards
SixNationState

Eschewing corporate sponsorship and gimmicks with a promise to “take things back to basics so today’s youth can have the same experience that previous generations of festival goers had”, the 5000-capacity Redfest tickets cost £64 plus booking fee.
