We’re sure Amy Winehouse will be busy getting up to all kinds of mischief this nascent summer, but one thing she won’t be doing is recording the theme tune for the new James Bond film.

Winehouse began work with producer Mark Ronson last month at a studio in Henley, Oxfordshire. Henley’s a pretty nice, green sort of place, but apparently the leaves and fresh air weren’t enough to keep the singer focused on the task at hand,

“We did work on it but we never finished it,” Ronson told the Sun. “I don’t think it will happen unless by some miracle it gets recorded and someone sings on it.

“I’m not sure Amy is ready to work on music yet.”

Despite a spokesman for Winehouse insisting that the break was triggered by artistic differences – “Mark presented a track to Amy, but she had other ideas about the direction it should take” – the fact remains that the Quantum of Solace still hasn’t got a theme tune.
