EMF to record new material
oappleby by Ollie Appleby March 9th, 2002
EMF have decided to go back into the studio, despite the death of bassist Zac Foley in January.

They have not replaced Zac and it is still unclear at this stage whether they intend to do so.

Speaking via EMF's official website, frontman James Atkin claimed that the current situation was: "Not a great start to the year, life without Zac is hard to get used to... We've decided to carry on although it will be quite a different band without Zac."

The band also plan to tour the US in the late summer, with new material being worked on this very minuite: "This week we started demoing some new tunes with the guy who programmed the Gorillaz album."

EMF's official website also contains a tribute song, recorded in the memory of Zac Foley: 'The Light That Burns Twice As Bright.' appears in MP3 format, the song "seems to have become his theme song."
