Danish Tasty: Efterklang sign to 4AD
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater September 3rd, 2009

Danish post-rock experimentalists Efterklang have signed to 4AD, joining the likes of The Breeders, The Big Pink, Anni Rossi, TV On The Radio, Deerhunter and The National on the London-based label.

The band had previously released 2 EPs - Under Giant Trees and Spinger - and 2 LPs - Parades and Tripper - with Yorkshire based Leaf Label.

At the moment they're touring their proverbial socks off, and will be playing at the following dates in the next few months. The date at The Barbican in October will be a full performance of Parades with the Britten Sinfonia. It will be a sight to behold.

As well as that, they'll be releasing Performing Parades as an audio and visual project which includes recordings of the band's performance of Parades with the Danish National Chamber Orchestra at Copenhagen's Koncerthuset this time last year. They're also working on the follow-up to Parades which will hopefully see a release in early 2010.
