Yeasayer: Coming this way in October
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater May 11th, 2010

It seems today is quite the time to be announcing Autumn tours of this island as, following on from The National's recent confirmation, Brooklyn three-piece Yeasayer have released a set of dates for later this year.

First up, here are the new dates for the tour:

October:
19 - Cardiff, Millennium Music Hall
20 - Manchester, Academy
21 - London, Roundhouse
23 - Newcastle, Academy
24 - Glasgow, ABC

All shows are Yeasayer headline shows. Earlier in the year the trio released Odd Blood, a record which we reviewed here. It had some wonderful slices ('Ambling Alp', 'O.N.E') of space-pop weirdness, as well as some other material which wasn't quite as good.

In between now and the October tour, the band will play a few festivals including Reading, Leeds, T In The Park, Latitude and Lovebox. In addition to those there are also a few solo shows, listed below:

26/5 - London, KOKO
5/7 - Cambridge, Junction
6/7 - Sheffield, Plug
12/7 - Brighton, Concorde 2
