Watch: Veronica Falls - 'Beachy Head'
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater June 15th, 2010

Veronica Falls released 'Beachy Head' as a single yesterday. It got a review in our weekly singles column, in which resident singles lady Wendy Roby said:

"Veronica Falls have written a pop song about everybody’s favourite place to top themselves and it is really really good. I mean, never has singing along to a graphical location where peepul choose to end it all seemed quite such top larks. This is indie of a very particular, very British, timeless and guileless sort, and it's also enough to remind a person why they plumped for plaid over pop in the first place. Terrific."

I think this description/review sums up everything that should be said about the track in question. Everything that I couldn't come up with myself, anyway. Regardless, they've now just released the video for it which seems to run around the motif of the song title. That chorus is summink else! Watch the Phillipa Bloomfield-directed clip below:

The four-piece play these dates in the next little while:

26/6 - Glasgow, Captain's Rest
10/7 - Kent, Lounge On The Farm
23/7 - Derbyshire, Indietracks Festival
24/7 - London, 1234 Festival
25/7 - Oxfordshire, Truck Festival
