Chris Sievey, more commonly known as his musical comedy alter ego Frank Sidebottom, has died after collapsing in his home. He was discovered by his girlfriend in the early hours of this morning and was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital in Greater Manchester before being pronounced dead.

It was recently revealed that he was suffering from cancer, and had undergone operations to help combat the disease, including the removal of a tumour in his chest. Only last week he unveiled his song for this year's World Cup, titled 'Three Shirts On A Line', a clip of which can be seen below. It's a good way to remember him.

The man will be sadly missed by a great many inside and outside of the music and comedy words, that's for certain. R.I.P. Frank.
