Belle & Sebastian announce December tour
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater July 19th, 2010

Indie-pop behemoths Belle & Sebastian have announced a UK tour for later in the year. December, to be precise. So far we have a handful of dates which sandwich their curation and performance at/of the Bowlie 2 Weekender at Butlins in Minehead.

It seems unlikely that they wouldn't play London on a tour, so I guess there will be a few more shows scheduled. Not that the people of London are do too badly for gigs and that. Anyway, here's what we think is going on so far. Right?

December:
5 - Gateshead, Sage
6 - Birmingham, Symphony Hall
7 - Manchester, Apollo
9 - Bournemouth, O2 Academy
14 - Leicester, De Montfort Hall
16 - Bristol, Colston Hall
21 - Glasgow, Barrowlands

It has been a BLOODY long time since they last did a proper tour of the UK, so I'd imagine tickets for this will go quite quickly. In other Belle & Sebastian news, they debuted a new track - presumably from the new album - in Helsinki the other day.

There are bootleg recordings of it around about the place but I'm not going to link to them because they're all quite shitty. Which is not what we want to hear - injustice is not our thing. You'll just have to be mildly disappointed by it in your own time. Fingers crossed for the rest of the songs.
