Nah, we're just joking, though given excitement about Radiohead's eighth album has been slightly crashing DiS this morning, you do SORT OF owe us Thom.

Anyway, you probably know the deal by now, but to summarise:

• This morning Radiohead announced the release of eighth album The King of Limbs, via the website www.thekingoflimbs.com.

• You can pre-order now and it'll be available digitally from this Saturday (February 19th).

• The In Rainbows pay-what-you-want-to wheeze has been ditched: instead we're looking at £6 for MP3 digital, £9 for WAV, or for £30/£33 then come May 9th, you'll be sent a physical copy of what is apparently 'the world's first newspaper album'. As the band who brought us the world's first library book album, the world's first mock Ordinance Survey map album, and the world's scariest 'um, did they actually predict 9/11?' album (seriously, have you seen the Kid A special edition?) then we're sure this will be lovely.

• The cover art looks like this:

• It'll be out in UK stores via regular CD on March 28th.

• It was producted by Nigel Godrich.

• It's named after a nice tree.
