Electrelane reform, play Field Day
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater February 16th, 2011

When I say last night Twitter was awash with rumours about Electrelane reforming, I may be slightly overstating it. But nevertheless, in a sea of tweets about the Brit Awards, there were a few things floating around regarding a reunion. Good news, folks, it's now been confirmed by the band themselves (via This is Fake DIY), after 3-and-a-half-years of an indefinite hiatus. Well, it turns out it was definite.

They posted this statement on their official website:

"This summer we're going to play some festivals, including Field Day in London, and a few gigs. We're still confirming everything, so will be announcing dates soon. It's very exciting for us to be playing together again after more than three years, and we're just sorry that we won't be able to make it to the US this time. At the moment our plan is just to play live this summer, so we hope to see you!"

Also, one more thing. ATP are announcing the curators for the December edition today at 3PM. As some people have pointed out, could this be a coincidence?! We shall have to wait and see.
