Broken Social Careening Around UK in Feb
sean by Sean Adams November 22nd, 2005

Broken Social Scene announce full tour... note: London show moved to the 8th.

Are you ready to dance and sway to more clever Canadian pop? Well, seeing as a new album out Broken Social Scene (that we've raved about HERE) now in the US and in the UK via City Slang on 30 January 2006, they play these dates:

February
8 London Mean Fiddler
10 Belfast Speakeasy
11 Dublin Crawdaddy
13 Nottingham Rescue Rooms
14 Manchester Academy 3
15 Birmingham Academy 2
16 Leeds Faversham
17 Glasgow Art School
19 Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms

Some new (and different!) members comprise the current 9-piece touring band. For those who need to know and compile such facts, here is the line-up:
Kevin Drew - Vocals, Keyboard, Guitar
Brendan Canning - Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Keyboard
Andrew Whiteman - Vocals, Guitar, Bass
Justin Peroff - Drums
Lisa Lobsinger - Vocals
Julie Penner - Violin
Johnny Crossingham - Drums, Guitar, Vocals, Percussion
Charles Spearin - Guitar, Trumpet
Ohad Bencherit - Guitar, Saxophone

Also, if you were hoping to wander along and catch them at The Barfly on November 29th or at Cargo with support from The Most Serene Republic (check them out here) on December 19th, bad luck the shows are sold out.

If you can't wait 'til January, you can legally download the album from galleryac.com
