Oldies can't rock with The Rolling Stones
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver January 5th, 2006

Fans over 45 years old attending The Rolling Stones' show at Detroit's Ford Field stadium - part of the Super Bowl final, held next month - will not be allowed down to the pitch to rock with their idols.

The strange decision was backed up by event organisers, who claim that only fans younger than 45 will be able to dance, sing and cheer well enough and for long enough for the television cameras' needs. Ageing fans will have to make do with watching from their seat in the stadium.

2,000 fans will be allowed onto the pitch for the half-time performance, so long as they're of the right age. What this means, though, is that technically The Rolling Stones are too old to appear at their own show, seeing as their combined age is a staggering 245.

In other news: American Football is stupid.
