'You are Free' is the title of the second album Cat Power (aka Chan Marshall) out on February 18th, but the website of Matador Records (also home to Interpol, Yo La Tango amongst others) confirms that the record features guest appearances from Eddie Vedder on vocals and Dave Grohl slutting himself around again on drums. This apparently came about cus producer of You Are Free, Adam Kasper, was also doing the latest Foo's and Pearl Jam records.
Vedder told The Onion: "Cat Power, I added a couple of things to her record. We actually got in a room and sang together, and that was one of the highlights of last year - or was it this year? This year, I think. It might be under a pseudonym, though. That might be a secret."
Also, it's rumoured Ex-Cat Power man Bill Callahan of Smog sings on the album too.
In other Foo's news you can get their album as a limited edition double 10". And they're on Later.. with Jools Holland this Friday, BBC2.
