The fourth Placebo album is titled 'Sleeping With Ghosts' and is estimated to be released through Hut Recordings on March 24.
Brian Molko spoke to Kerrang! about the sound of the new album, pronouncing it 'experimental' and more 'grown-up'.
The androgynous frontman said:
"it's more a collection of love songs. The whole trashy, dirty thing we did when we were 22 we can't do now because we are 30."
The album will be introduced with a single, 'Bitter End', released on March 10.
The full track-listing for 'Sleeping With Ghosts' is as follows:
'Bulletproof Cupid'
'English Summer Rain'
'This Picture'
'Sleeping With Ghosts'
'Bitter End'
'Something Rotten'
'Plastecine'
'I'll Be Yours'
'Second Sight'
'Protect Me From What I Want'
'Centrefold'
"It's not really that filthy", says the pintsized Molko. "A lot of it cuts through all the bullshit and goes straight to your heartstrings. I don't think we need filth anymore."
Live dates and news on the album as we get it.
