Audioslave added to the Download Festival
oappleby by Ollie Appleby February 26th, 2003
Audioslave have been added to the confirmed live lineup at the new two day Download Festival which takes place at Donington Park on May 31 & June 1, 2003.

audioslave join the current big name line up, as previously reported the bill currently has Iron Maiden headlining (their only UK live performance this summer) with Limp Bizket in their first UK live show for more than two years. Also currently confirmed with still more to be announced are Marylin Manson and Deftones.

As the name (and press blurb) suggests, the Download Festival is a multimedia experience encompassing SMS interactivity, digital downloads, a continually changing website, live streams, the live music experience and webchats from the festival site. Festival ticket buyers will be able to obtain artist approved Downloads on the website via a unique password. There will also be additions to the site after the festival – with live footage from Download, special messages from the bands, screensavers, and more. (blah blah buzzword blah)

Anyway, here's the bullet - Ticket prices:

Weekend tickets, £70.00
Camping £12.50
Single Day Tickets £39.50

Opening times: Campsite opens 12:00pm Friday 30 May & closes 12:00pm Monday 2 June. The Arena Gates open at 9:30am each day and the show begins at 11:00am.
