The title of their sixth album, out on June the 9th via Parlophone has been announced as 'Hail To The Thief' a phrase coined by protesters at the end of the 2000 US Presidential election amid allegations of unfairness in the voting process. (oooh politics etc)
In live news, Radiohead return to the UK for, as previously exclusively announced, a now sold-out tour of small venues in May. The band then hit a bunch of Euro festivals including Glastonbury, tickets for which are out in a week...
The first single taken from 'Hail To The Thief' is set to be 'There There' on May 26. A track written 3 years ago and played during a studio webcast around the time of release of 'Kid A'. Politics and recycling.
Anyway, the album tracklisting has been floating around on some less reputable websites for the last day or so, but now it's somewhere you can trust. All the tracks have so far been played in live versions on their last tour of Spain and Portugal other than 'The Gloaming' and 'Backdrifts'.
'Hail To The Thief' goes a little something like this:
'2 + 2 = 5'
'Sit Down. Stand Up'
'Sail To The Moon'
'Backdrifts'
'Go To Sleep'
'Where I End And You Begin'
'We Suck Young Blood'
'The Gloaming'
'There There'
'I Will'
'A Punch-Up at a Wedding'
'Myxamatosis'
'Scatterbrain'
'A Wolf At The Door'
