Easyworld: Date The Last Romantic
sean by Sean Adams June 1st, 2003
Indie catz announce tour..

Brightonian boy vs girl pop-trio Easyworld have just finished recording the next album with the working title 'Kill the Last Romantic'. In the band's weblog Dav Ford the singer chap said this about the record:

"I think the writing is more shamelessly bold than previous offerings. I wanted to write a collection of emotionally engaging songs to melt the stoniest of hearts. Ironically, it is the sad songs I am happiest about. There was also the significant influence of the global political situation at the time of the album session. When we went into the studio, there was promise of war. Before we had finished the session, the war had happened and CNN had subsequently found itself some other news to panic us about. I think this experience has given the record a historical context you don’t get all that often these days. So in addition to the loser ballads, there’s some mourning, spit and vitriol."

And shyeah, you guessed it, a first single is due at the end of July to coincide with the following ukulele-trashing dates...

JULY
Sun 6th Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms
Mon 7th Bristol Fleece
Tue 8th Northampton Soundhaus
Wed 9th Manchester University
Fri 11th Sheffield Leadmill
Sun 12th Nottingham Rock City (new show just added)
Mon 14th Liverpool University
Tues 15th Birmingham Sanctuary
Wed 16th Leicester Charlotte
Thu 17th London ULU
