The band are called Unknown to No One and are getting lots of global attention. The five members have had, like many of their countrymen, a tough time and previously had to rehearse their songs in a car, but it now seems that they'll soon be getting professional help to record and release their very own international album.
What makes it all the more amazing is all the band members are from different ethnic backgrounds. The founders, Art Haroutunian (25) and Shant Garabedian (24), are actually American Christians; Diyar Diler (21) is a Sunni Muslim Kurd, while Nadeem Hamed (20) and Hassan Ali al-Falluji (21) are Shi'ite Muslims.
Although there was little arguable justification of the war, it is good to see a few good things coming from it, especially the chance for the people of Iraq to finally have a voice again.
